1st Area V Meeting in Canada!

On October 17, Lambda Nu Sigma and Sigma Omega Chapter hosted the Northeast Region's Area V Meeting (our brochure). This is the first time a SGRho area meeting was hosted in Canada and internationally. Set at Ryerson University, sorors from Western New York, Western Pennsylavnia, West Virginia, Western Maryland, and Southern Ontario were in attendance. In addition, we had the honour to welcome our International Grand Basileus Bonita Herring and First Anti-Basileus Deborah Catchings-Smith to Canada for this monumental event.

Young Women's Conference: Be a Better You!

Since 2012, the Lambda Nu Sigma Chapter has held a Young Womyn's EmpoRHOment Conference in Toronto. We would like to thank our partners in this event - the West Scarborough Boys and Girls Club!

The purpose of this annual conference is to bring together young womyn from marginalized communities and provide them with information on post-secondary education, making healthy lifestyle choices and leadership development. This initiative targets girls between 9 to 18 years of age and encourages them to try new activities, develop skills and discuss topics in a safe place.

Through this event, girls enhance their self-esteem, learn to live safely in their communities, make new friends and learn to understand and challenge the world around them.
