1. Young Women’s Initiative
The purpose of this conference is to bring together young women from marginalized communities and provide them with information on post-secondary education, making healthy lifestyle choices and leadership development. This initiative targets girls between 9 to 18 years of age and encourages them to try new activities, develop skills and discuss topics in a safe place. Through this event, girls enhance their self-esteem, learn to live safely in their communities, make new friends and learn to understand and challenge the world around them. See our past Young Women's EmpoRHOment Conferences.

2. Youth Symposium
Sponsored in conjunction with and in commemoration of Sigma Week, the Sigma Youth Symposium was designed to highlight some of the prevalent concerns that negatively impact our youth: drugs, teen violence, abuse, low self-esteem, suicide, teen pregnancy, etc. Held on the second Saturday of March by each Alumnae Chapter across the world, Sigma Youth Symposiums address issues that affect teens today. Check out our previous Youth Symposiums.

3. Operation BigBookBag
Chapters provide selected schools and other facilities with needed school items. Secondarily, we have the opportunity knowledge, access and support around educational opportunities and services to young women and men in their communities. Operation BigBookBag gives us numerous opportunities to make an impact on the next generation of Canadians.

Fundraisers
As we grow, so will our capacity to add programs to our annual calendar and increase our support to the local community. Through donations, we are able to continue to implement our community service initiatives. Some of our fundraising efforts have included bowling tournaments, Valentine’s or Mother's Day raffle and CaRHObana Kick-off dinner. We thank everyone that has come out to support us at our events and donated to our fundraisers.
As we implement our community service initiatives and build partnerships with other organizations, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is on fire to serve in the Greater Toronto Area!
